Idyllic Farm Setting
On 400 breathtaking acres in Camden, South Carolina, our clients and their horses enjoy the serenity of an uncrowded country setting and the amenities of a top-notch training facility. Away from the noise and pressure of a race-track setting, our laid-back, low-stress environment at Camden Training Center is perfect for breaking yearlings and rehabilitating older horses. In the gentle climate of this historic equine center, our clients turn promising talent into winners — year after year.
Ideal Climate
Here in Camden, South Carolina, we have the ideal environment for raising healthy, young horses and rejuvenating older ones. Constant heat or severe cold add additional stress on horses in training while our climate offers a healthy change of seasons.
Healthy Ground Conditions
The ground here is gentle on horses’ feet, allowing trainers to put off shoeing longer than in other parts of the country. Every horse here has access to excellent turf — every day, all year long. Turf horses that winter in Camden return to the track in excellent shape. Many of our older horses do well after a winter’s rest and change of scenery at Camden Training Center.
Variety of Training Options
Trainers here are not restricted to a traditional race track setting — although we offer plenty of racetrack options, including a one-mile dirt track, 7/8 mile turf course and a half-mile secondary track. Our polo fields are perfect for teaching horses to change leads and get comfortable running next to other horses, and the layout of our tracks and trails allow for more time on horse as well as an unusual variety of training options.
